Fostering Saves the Lives of the Most Vulnerable

Having a large and successful foster program is one of the keys to saving more lives. We are looking to grow our foster program and are in need of more foster families willing to help.

Fostering can sometimes last just a week or two, and can be very easy! We need fosters for all kinds of animals…large and small, young and old. By offering your time, energy, and home to an animal in need, you prepare an animal for adoption into a permanent home as well as prevent overcrowding in our shelter. If you want to become a part of something truly special that allows you to personally save lives, please contact us today!

You can contact us via email at gshsmedicalteam@gmail.com or by phone at 843-457-3139 for more information.

We are now offering the option to submit your Foster Application Online. Please use one of the links below to fill out and submit the foster application and release form. Also, please look over the Foster Care Guide and let us know if you have any questions.

FOSTER PROGRAM UPGRADE
We are thrilled to begin using new software which will help us to better track new and existing foster parents, streamline the process allowing us to help more animals in need and provide a more positive and interactive experience for our lifesaving foster parents!
Unfortunately, this new software does not integrate well with our previous application process and we are kindly asking anyone who has previously filled out a foster application but has not yet fostered with GSHS to follow the steps below to re-apply!
1) Download and complete our foster application and liability release below (PDF and Google Doc options available for your convenience)
2) Follow this link and select Foster – https://app.fosterkeeper.com/foster/signup-as
3) In the next step, select Grand Strand Humane Society as your organization of choice
4) Complete your basic information and then upload your completed foster application and liability release from step 1
5) Complete the rest of the steps
6) Get ready to start saving lives!! We will be in touch soon!!
