Food Bank Program

Do you know someone who could benefit from our Food Bank Program?

Grand Strand Humane Society is very fortunate to have the support of many Grand Strand residents through food donations we receive on a daily basis. Many times we receive opened bags of food that previous owners can no longer use or food donations that are not part of the dietary program we provide to our shelter animals.

We have discovered that there is a big need for these types of donations to be shared with the residents of our community that may need a little help in allowing them to keep their furry family members in their home rather than surrendering them to GSHS or another shelter. This is a win/win for all involved.

We have a separate donation bin (brown, with lid) located at the front door of our building on Mr. Joe White Ave. where these food donations are placed and those in need can stop by and pick up what they can use. We simply ask that this program not be abused by those who can afford food for their pets. This program became even more important in 2020 when the pandemic started.
